THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JEFFERSON CARY FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT AND ENHANCE THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AT CARY MEDICAL CENTER AND IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES.

OUR SET OF PROGRAMS WERE CREATED TO ASSIST OUR VETERANS WHO HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES HOMELESS OR STRUGGLING WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE, TO FIND A SAFE AND HEALING PLACE TO TRANSITION FROM MILITARY CAREERS TO PRODUCTIVE CIVILIAN LIFE. WE WILL ACT AS A CONDUIT FOR CURRENT SERVICES AVAILABLE WHILE WORKING WITHIN A COMPLICATED FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL SYSTEMS TO IDENTIFY SHORTFALLS.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

The goal of this organization is to provide educational services including special placement and individualized programming, instruction and support services for children and youth who are gifted or have disabilities and require appropriately modified curricula, teaching methodologies and instructional materials in order to learn.

ACTING AS AN EMERGENCY ANIMAL WELFARE SHELTER AND ADVOCACY GROUP FOR STRAY, ABANDONED, AND ABUSED ANIMALS BY PROVIDING IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY SHELTER, FOSTER CARE HOUSING, AND MEDICAL CARE AS NEEDED UNTIL ADOPTION. IN ADDITION THIS, TO PROVIDE PUBLIC EDUCATION
