WORKS TO STRENGTHEN THE SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES OF MEMBER AGENCIES AND HELP THEM WORK TOGETHER TO PREVENT AND REDUCE AIR POLLUTION IMPACTS IN THE MID- ATLANTIC REGION AND BEYOND. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TRAINING WORKSHOPS, TECHNICAL STUDIES, AND COORDINATION.

DEFINES, SUPPORTS AND DISSEMINATES DATA, INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH, ASSESSMENTS, CASE STUDIES AND BEST PRACTICES WHICH ENABLE MEMBER INSTITUTIONS TO BETTER FULFILL THEIR MISSIONS

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

PVAHA IS AN AFFILIATE OF USA HOCKEY WHICH PROMOTES THE SPORT OF AMATEUR ICE HOCKEY IN THE MARYLAND, VIRGINIA, AND WASHINGTON D.C. AREA.

TO PROVIDE RECREATION PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY (ADULTS AND CHILDREN)

MARYLAND CASA FACILITATES THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESS OF COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE CASA PROGRAMS IN MARYLAND TO HELP ENSURE THAT EVERY ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILD IN THE STATE HAS A SAFE, PERMANENT HOME
