MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS DARTMOUTH. THE ORGANIZATION FUNDS RESEARCH, AWARDS, SEMINARS AND INSTRUCTION AS WELL AS NEED-BASED AND MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY.

MISSION:

THE TRUSTEES OF FRIENDS' ACADEMY IS A CO-EDUCATIONAL, INDEPENDENT DAY SCHOOL SERVING STUDENTS IN PRESCHOOL THROUGH GRADE EIGHT. THE MISSION OF FRIENDS ACADEMY IS TO PROVIDE EACH STUDENT WITH AN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION THAT WILL INSTILL THE ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP, RESPECT FOR DIVERSITY AND DIFFERENCES, AND A SENSE OF WELL-BEING NEEDED FOR A LIFETIME OF LEARNING AND PERSONAL GROWTH.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS TO ALLOW THEM TO LIVE A FULL AND ACTIVE LIFE.

TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY AND DAY REHABILITATION TO DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED AND HEAD INJURED ADULTS.

MISSION:

ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE OF NEW BEDFORD, INC., D/B/A HUMANE SOCIETY & SHELTER-SOUTHCOAST, PROVIDES SERVICES TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF HOMELESS PETS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES QUARANTINE SERVICES TO OTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS BRINGING ANIMALS INTO MASSACHUSETTS FROM OTHER STATES, RESCUES STRAY ANIMALS, PROVIDES THEM VETERINARY CARE AND OFFERS THEM FOR ADOPTION TO APPROPRIATE HOMES. THE PETS ARE ALL SPAYED/NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF UNWANTED ANIMALS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS AFFORDABLE RABIES CLINICS, AND BOARDING SERVICES TO CURRENT PET OWNERS TO HELP PREVENT ABANDONMENT DUE TO THE COST OF PET CARE.

THE ORGANIZATION RENDERS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF THE PRINCE HENRY SOCIETY OF MASSACHUSETTS, NEW BEDFORD CHAPTER.
