THE PURPOSE OF THE MLITARY ORDER OF THE LOYAL LEGION OF THE UNITED STATES IS TO HONOR AND COMMEMORATE THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE CIVIL WAR, AND FOSTER EDUCATION ABOUT AND PRESERVATION EFFORTS RELATING TO THE CIVIL WAR, PARTICULARLY WITH REGARDS TO SUPPORT OF THE WAR LIBRARY AND MUSEUM OF THE MILITARY ORDER OF THE LOYAL LEGION OF THE UNITED STATES.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED OVER 75 YEARS AGO TO FOSTER TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ENJOYED THE SPORT OF FISHING, ARCHERY AND HUNTING. MEMBERS ORGANIZED YOUTH ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS THESE SPORTING FIELDS HELPING YOUNGSTERS LEARN AND ENJOY THE OUTDOOR SPORTING ACTIVITIES. MEMBERS ALSO LEARN HOW TO HANDLE FIREARMS SAFELY AS WELL AS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS IN THESE FIELDS.

THE MISSION OF THE BOARD SHALL BE TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO REACH ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY THROUGH EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR 21ST CENTURY JOBS AND HELP COMPANIES DEVELOP A WELL-TRAINED WORKFORCE SO THAT THEY MIGHT SURVIVE AND PROSPER.
