The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

THE MISSION OF SHREVEPORT OPERA IS TO PRODUCE PROFESSIONAL OPERA AND MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS OF THE HIGHEST ARTISTIC QUALITY AND PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND OUTREACH TO CHILDREN, YOUTH AND ADULTS IN THE ARK-LA-TEX REGION.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.

THE MISSION OF THE YOUTH ENRICHMENT PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS TO ELEMENTARY-AGED CHILDREN FROM DIVERSE CULTURAL AND SOCIAL BACKGROUNDS AND TO ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW AND DEVELOP IN A SAFE, NURTURING ATMOSPHERE.

The goal of this organization is to provide treatment services which may include emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance through a variety of counseling modalities for individuals who are having difficulty in coping with a traumatic experience or a personal relationship or in making the adjustments that are required by their particular stage in life.

TO PROVIDE CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE & EDUCATION CONCERNING LEGAL MATTERS TO THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES IN CIVIL MATTERS TO LOW-INCOME PERSONS, CHARITABLE GRANTS & CONTRIBUTIONS, AND OPERATION OF THE SHREVEPORT BAR CENTER.

MISSION:

Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
