THE LEAVENWORTH COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION OPERATES THE ANNUAL COUNTY FAIR TO PROMOTE YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN AGRICULTURAL AND HOME ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES; IT ALSO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE FACILITIES USED BY THE VARIOUS 4-H CLUBS IN LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SHELTER, COUNSELING, AND PROTECTION FOR CRIME VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE KINDNESS TO ANIMALS, BY THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS, HUMANE EDUCATION AND THE REDUCTION OF THE NUMBERS OF UNWANTED DOGS AND CATS THROUGH SPAYING AND NEUTERING.

AT THE ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL WE HAVE ADOPTED MILITARY UNITS, PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, IN ADDITION TO SUPPORTING ALL VETERANS AND FAMILIES. THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS WE HELP THE HOMELESS AND THEIR SUPPORTING SERVICES IN OUR COMMUNITY.

WE ARE SEVERAL SMALL BOOSTER CLUBS COMING TOGETHER TO FORM ONE 501C3 TO PROVIDE FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES TO THOSE CHILDREN THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO AFFORD THOSE OPPORTUNITIES. MEMBERS WILL BE VOLUNTEERING AT SPORTING EVENTS AND CONCERTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL BOOSTER CLUBS. THIS ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED FOR THE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AS DEFINED IN SECTION 501C3 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THIS GATEWAYS FOR YOUTH SHALL BE SELF-GOVERNING SELF-SUPPORTING AND NON-COMMERCIAL.
