LRA WAS FOUNDED IN 2017 WITH PRINCIPAL FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES BEGINNING IN 2020. THE HOSPITALITY WORKERS RELIEF FUND (RELIEF FUND) WAS ESTABLISHED BY LRA IN 2020 TO PROVIDE DIRECT AID TO UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED SERVICE INDUSTRY WORKERS AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. LRA INTENDS TO MAINTAIN THE RELIEF FUND BEYOND THE RESOLUTION OF THE PANDEMIC TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY AID TO HOSPITALITY WORKERS EXPERIENCING UNFORESEEN FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS IN ADDITION TO OTHER COMMUNITY SUPPORT CAUSES SUCH AS HUNGER RELIEF, FOOD WASTE REDUCTION AND FUTURE PROGRAMS.
