The goal of this organization is the fund-raising entity for a single institution within the Mutual & Membership Benefit major group area.

MISSION:

THE CITY OF EMPORIA HEALTH CARE FUND WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING MEDICAL CLAIMS FOR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES AND THEIR PARTICIPATING DEPENDENTS. IN JANUARY 2009 THE CITY TRANSITIONED TO A FULLY FUNDED HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN. THE CITY AGAIN TRANSITIONED TO A PARTIALLY SELF-FUNDED PLAN IN 2020.

MISSION:

THE BUILDING WAS LISTED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1985; HOWEVER, ITS HISTORIC STATUS WAS NO GUARANTEE OF IMMUNITY FROM TIME AND PROGRESS. WHEN DEMOLITION THREATENED THE BUILDING IN 1994, A GROUP OF CITIZENS RALLIED TO SAVE THE GRANADA. AFTER MANY YEARS OF HARD WORK, IT HAS BEEN RESTORED TO ITS LUSTEROUS BEAUTY. AND NOW, THE RESTORED HISTORICAL EMPORIA GRANADA THEATRE IS A DESTINATION FOR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL, AND SOCIAL EVENTS THAT STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY. THE FIRST FLOOR WAS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY TO ACCOMMODATE ANY KIND OF EVENT, WHETHER IT BE A CONFERENCE, SEMINAR, MEETING PLACE, CLASSROOM, WEDDING RECEPTION, DANCE, THEATRE, CONCERT OR PARTY. THIS BEAUTIFUL MULTI-USE BUILDING HAS BEEN WELL RECEIVED BY THE CITIZENS OF EMPORIA AND LYON COUNTY AND WILL SERVE THEIR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND SOCIAL NEEDS FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

TO EDUCATE, TO ADVOCATE AND TO CELEBRATE THE ARTS IN EMPORIA AND OUR SEVEN-COUNTY SERVICE AREA.

TO FURTHER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE MIDWEST. TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS CONCERNS IN THE AREA. TO BENEFIT THE REGION BY INCREASING EMPLOYMENT, PAYROLL AND BUSINESS VOLUME.

The goal of this organization is to interpret, collect and preserve the historical heritage of a specific geographic location.

The goal of this organization is to make available to members and their guests and facilities for recreational activities, sports and games. Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

EMPORIA ENTERPRISES IS ONE ARM OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THAT IS DONE IN THE COMMUNITY. THE FOCUS IS ON INDUSTRIAL LAND MANAGEMENT.

TO PROVIDE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY TO THOSE IN NEED OF FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER, OR OTHER BASIC NEEDS AND TO REHABILITATE LIVES THROUGH TEACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD, JESUS CHRIST.

TO MOBILIZE RESOURCES TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS HUMAN NEEDS WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH ANNUAL CAMPAIGNS IN LYON, CHASE, OSAGE, COFFEY, MORRIS, GREENWOOD, AND WABAUNSEE COUNTIES IN KANSAS TO RAISE SUPPORT FOR ALLOCATION TO PROGRAMS WHICH MEET THOSE NEEDS

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the residential options exclusively for older adults who want to have a simpler, maintenance-free lifestyle and enjoy the company of peers with common interests, or who require a moderate amount of support in the activities of daily living to maintain independent living.
