The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

OUR MISSION IS TO PRESERVE THE WATERFRONT'S HISTORIC CHARACTER, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE WATERFRONT'S SCENIC NATURE AND APPEARANCE, PROMOTE AND STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE WATERFRONT, AND PROMOTE COOPERATION AND MUTUAL ASSISTANCE AMONG PROPERTY OWNERS AND BUSINESSES ALONG THE WATERFRONT.

THE ORGANIZATIONS WAS FOUNDED IN 2001 TO SUPPORT LOCAL CHILDRENS CHARITIES AND TO PRESENT FAMILY-ORIENTED COMMUNITY EVENTS. THE FOUNDATION WAS BEGAN AS A RESPONSE TO THE 9/11 TRAGEDY WITH THE GOAL OF BRINGING FEEL-GOOD, FAMILY-FRIENDLY, UPLIFTING EVENTS TO THE SAVANNAH, GA AREA.

THE 100 BLACK MEN OF SAVANNAH, INC. SERVE AS A BEACON OF LEADERSHIP BY UTILIZING OUR DIVERSE TALENTS TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH SAVANNAH YOUTH ARE MOTIVATED TO ACHIEVE AND ARE EMPOWERED TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT SHAREHOLDERS IN THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL FABRIC OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.

THE ORGANIZATION RESCUES, REHABILITATES AND RELEASES INJURED NATIVE WILDLIFE. IT ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATION ABOUT SECURING A MORE VALUED ECOSYSTEM FOR WILDLIFE.

WE HELP ABANDONED, NEGLECTED, ABUSED AND UNWANTED PETS IN THE SAVANNAH, GA AREA BY PARTNERING WITH SHELTERS, RESCUE GROUPS, AND THE COMMUNITY TO FACILITATE ADOPTION OF THESE ANIMALS INTO PERMANENT AND LOVING HOMES.

Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

THE MISSION OF COASTAL JAZZ ASSOCIATION IS TO HELP JAZZ THRIVE IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA AND THE COASTAL EMPIRE BY SPONSORING LIVE PERFORMANCES, ENCOURAGING JAZZ EDUCATION THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS, AND BY THE CAMARADERIE OF OTHERS WITH SHARED INTERESTS.
