THE MILAGRO FOUNDATION, INC., DBA THE MILAGRO CENTER (THE CENTER) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION ESTABLISHED IN 1997 WHOSE MISSION IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF CHILDREN THROUGH CULTURAL ARTS, LIVING VALUES AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT. THE CENTER'S OPERATIONS ARE BASED IN DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA. OUR VISION IS TO BE A CENTER OF CREATIVE CULTURAL COLLABORATION, ENGAGING EDUCATION AND INSPIRATION THAT DISSOLVES SOCIAL BARRIERS, FORMS LASTING CONNECTIONS AND SETS THE STAGE FOR FUTURE SUCCESS. THE CENTER IS DESIGNED TO BE A REPLICABLE MODEL FOR SELF-SUSTAINING, NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND ART PROGRAMS TO DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN. THE CENTER'S FOUR GOALS ARE TO: ENSURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS. PROMOTE THE ARTS. TEACH INCLUSION AND EMBRACE DIVERSITY. CREATE STRONG INDIVIDUALS WHO POSITIVELY IMPACT THEIR COMMUNITIES.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SHORT TO MIDTERM HOUSING AND FAITH-BASED SUPPORT TO AT-RISK SINGLE MOTHER LED FAMILY UNITS DURING A TRANSITIONAL AND/OR UNIFICATION PERIOD. THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED COMES IN THE FORMS OF ECONOMIC, SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.

TO HELP HAITIANS CHANGE HAITI THROUGH EDUCATION. ESTABLISH A NEW SCHOOL MODEL THAT SUCCESSFULLY PREPARES AND INSPIRES FUTURE CHANGEMAKERS. THIS NEW SCHOOL-BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT APPROACH PLACES EMPHASIS ON WORKING WITH FAMILIES. PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE FOUR SERVICE HOURS A WEEK TO HAVE THEIR CHILDREN ATTEND. DURING 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR, 84,760 SERVICE HOURS WERE PROVIDED BY PARENTS AT THE CHILDRENS ACADEMY. SERVICE HOURS ARE A REFLECTION OF PARENT ENGAGEMENT AT THE SCHOOL AND ACCOMPLISH A VARIETY OF IMPORTANT TASKS LIKE MAINTAINING PERMACULTURE GARDENS, ASSISTING TEACHERS IN CLASS, WORKING IN THE HAND PAPERMAKING/GREETING CARD SOCIAL BUSINESS, TENDING TO SCHOOL GROUNDS, SERVING AS COMMUNITY HEALTH AGENTS, AND MORE. ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL BUSINESS ARE ALSO CRITICAL COMPONENTS OF THE EDUCATIONAL MODEL THAT HAITI PARTNERS IS DEVELOPING AT THE CHILDRENS ACADEMY.
