MISSION:

TO BUILD A CULTURE IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN WHICH STUDENTS ASPIRE TO ATTEND AND GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE; TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL INCENTIVES AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE STUDENTS; AND TO FACILITATE THEIR RETURN TO LIVE, WORK AND SERVE IN THE GREATER NEW HAVEN COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

ACQUIRE, RESTORE AND MAINTAIN HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME TENANTS AND FAMILIES, SUPPORT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER COMMUNITY FUNCTIONS.

The goal of this organization is to develop and maintain educational exhibits that are structured for the size, interests and intellectual capacity of young children. Childrens museums are participatory and allow visitors to interact with the exhibits (touching, exploring, manipulating), and many offer organized lessons for groups of school children that focus on one or more of the exhibits.
