WE TURN NO ONE AWAY WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY; FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS OFFERED TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO CANNOT AFFORD MEMBERSHIP OR PROGRAM PARTICIPATION. WITH PROGRAM AREAS RANGING FROM SWIM INSTRUCTION TO FITNESS CLASSES, SUMMER CAMPS TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, COLLEGE PREP ACTIVITIES TO ART COURSES, AND DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAMS TO THE ENGAGEMENT OF CHILDREN IN DAILY FITNESS AND NUTRITION LESSONS, THE REGIONAL YMCA TOUCHES MORE THAN 19,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

THE BROOKFIELD CRAFT CENTER MISSION IS TO PRESERVE THE SKILLS OF CONTEMPORARY AND TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP AND PROMOTE CREATIVITY AND PERSONAL GROWTH THROUGH TEACHING. BCC WILL PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY CRAFTS REGIONALLY AND NATIONALLY THROUGH EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN OUR STUDIOS PROVIDE INCOME OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARTISTS THROUGH SALES IN OUR GALLERY SHOP AND CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH EXHIBITIONS LECTURES AND STUDIO TIME.

CAMBIANDO VIDAS IS DEDICATED TO THE BELIEF THAT EVERY HUMAN BEING SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF LIFES ESSENTIALS SHELTER, FOOD, CLOTHING, EDUCATION, AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO REALIZE ONES FULL POTENTIAL AND AMBITIONS. THE ORGANIZATION BUILDS SMALL, SAFE, AFFORDABLE, CONCRETE-BLOCK HOMES THAT ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO SURVIVE HURRICANE-FORCE STORMS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING CAPITAL AND LABOR, INTERNATIONAL BUILD TEAMS WORK HAND IN HAND WITH THE RECIPIENT FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE MUCH OF THE SWEAT EQUITY. BY THE END OF THE WEEK-LONG BUILD THIS UNIQUE MIXING OF CONCRETE, PEOPLE, AND CULTURES REVEALS THAT PEOPLE ARE MORE ALIKE THAN DIFFERENT, AND THAT A HOUSE IS MUCH MORE THAN A COLLECTION OF CONCRETE, METAL, AND WOOD. PROVIDE THERAPY FOR HIGH-RISK YOUTH DIAGNOSED WITH LEARNING, EMOTIONAL, AND BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS. THIS THERAPY IS TO HELP CHILDREN TO ACHIEVE POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR SUCH HIGH-RISK YOUTH AND TO PREVENT NEGATIVE RISK-TAKING BEHAVIORS SUCH AS SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND DELINQUENCY.
