THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO HOLD AND DISTRIBUTE BOARD-DESIGNATED FUNDS FOR AUCTION NAPA VALLEY, A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION, TO NAPA COUNTY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ACCORDING TO THE ORGANIZATIONS'S GIVING GUIDELINES.

MISSION:

ST. HELENA MONTESSORI SCHOOL WAS FOUNDED IN 1981 AND INCORPORATED IN 1989 AS A NONPROFIT EDUCATION ORGANIZATION. THE SCHOOL IS ACCREDITED WITH THE ASSOCIATION MONTESSORI INTERNATIONAL AND OFFERS A COMPLETE DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM FROM PK TO 9TH GRADE.

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE A SAFE, POSITIVE AND UNIQUE PLACE TO DEVELOP THEIR NATURAL TALENTS AND TO INSPIRE THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL, AND TO EQUIP ALL CHILDREN WITH THE SKILLS TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE, RESPONSIBLE AND CARING CITIZENS BY DELIVERING INNOVATIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.

ENSURE THE ECONOMIC VIABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE NAPA VALLEY APPELLATION THROUGH MARKETING, PROMOTIONAL, EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING PROGRAMS, WORK ON CRITICAL INDUSTRY ISSUES, AND ENHANCE THE WELL-BEING OF THE NAPA COUNTY COMMUNITY.

AUCTION NAPA VALLEY RAISES FUNDS WHICH ARE GRANTED TO THE NAPA VALLEY VINTNERS HEALTHY COMMUNITY FUND, A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION, TO DISTRIBUTE TO LOCAL NONPROFIT CHARITIES ACCORDING TO THE ORGANIZATION'S GIVING GUIDELINES.

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
