THE CALLER IS GIVEN A CODE NUMBER. IF THERE IS AN ARREST AND CONVICTION FOR A CRIME THAT IS REPORTED, THE PERSON THAT CALLED WOULD BE ABLE TO RECEIVE A MONETARY AWARD UP TO $2500. THE DISTRIBUTION OF THESE FUNDS IS DICTATED ON WHAT TYPE OF CRIME IS COMMITTED, IF THE CALLER PRESENTS HIS/HER SECRET CODE NUMBER AND IF THERE IS AN ARREST AND CONVICTION.
