MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

TVSB SERVES SANTA BARBARA COUNTY. OUR PURPOSE IS TO EMPOWER LOCAL AGENCIES, INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH MEDIA LITERACY TRAINING, ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND TOOLS TO SHARE CONTENT. TVSB OPERATES TWO COMMUNITY MEDIA CHANNELS AND PROVIDES MEDIA SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY.

ORGANIC SOUP KITCHEN PROVIDES ONCOLOGY NUTRITION AND ADDRESSES FOOD INSECURITY TO A DIVERSE DEMOGRAPHIC OF INDIVIDUALS STRUGGLING WITH THE EFFECTS OF CANCER AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

GLOBAL PARENTS FOR ECZEMA RESEARCH IS A GRASSROOTS, PARENT-LED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT ADVANCES RESEARCH AND POLICY CHANGES THAT LEAD TO BETTER TREATMENTS AND PREVENTION STRATEGIES FOR MODERATE TO SEVERE ECZEMA IN CHILDREN. WE ALSO HELP PATIENTS AND FAMILIES WITH PEER SUPPORT AND ACCESS TO THE LATEST AND VERY BEST SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION.

CALIFORNIA HOUSING AND YOUTH SERVICES IS A PRIVATE NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES TO LOW, VERY LOW, AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES, INDIVIDUALS AND THOSE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.WE ASSIST IN EMPOWERING DISENFRANCHISED YOUTHS THAT ARE BECOMING EMANCIPATED BY THE STATE. THROUGH OUR MENTORING PROGRAM, OUR GOAL IS TO ASSIST THEM TO COMPLETE HIGH SCHOOL, PARTICIPATE IN JOB TRAINING, FIND HOUSING AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO ACQUIRE A HIGHER EDUCATION IN ADDITION TO ASSISTING THEM IN THE TRANSITION FROM THEIR CURRENT LIVING SITUATION TO INDEPENDENT LIVING. WE BELIEVE THAT THE INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH TO THIS ISSUE WILL CHANGE THE FUTURE OF THESE YOUNG PEOPLE.
