FOUNDED IN 1970, SLIDE RANCH IS A NON-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL FARM AND NATURE CENTER LOCATED NORTH OF SAN FRANCISCO WITHIN THE GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (GGNRA) AND SERVES OVER 10,000 YOUTH AND ADULTS ANNUALLY FROM ALL OVER THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. BY FARMING, COOKING, CARING FOR ANIMALS AND EXPLORING COASTAL WILDERNESS, SLIDE RANCH TEACHES PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO SEE THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THEIR OWN HEALTH, A HEALTHY FOOD SYSTEM AND A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. SLIDE RANCH OFFERS SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY GROUP PROGRAMS, FAMILY PROGRAMS, SUMMER CAMP, A TEACHER-IN-RESIDENCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR EMERGING TEACHERS, STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF-GUIDED EXPLORATION.
