PROVIDE POSITIVE EXPERIENCES TO YOUTH IMPACTED BY LIFE THREATENING DISEASES, INCLUDING CANCER, SUPPORT OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS CONDUCTING CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES, AND PROVIDE ACCESS AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to provide for the conservation, protection and management of different species of wild animals by establishing a system of preserves that are set aside for their habitation and protected from human depredation and interference.

FOUNDED IN 1999, SKS FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT CHARITABLE ENDEAVORS IN A WIDE RANGE OF SECTORS FROM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO EDUCATION. IN THE PAST, SKS FOUNDATION HAS SUPPORTED MANY CHARITIES, MOST NOTABLY IN THE FIELD OF MICROFINANCE (PROVIDING SMALL LOANS TO LOW-INCOME WOMEN IN INDIA SO THAT THEY CAN START MICRO-ENTERPRISES AND IMPROVE ECONOMIC WELL-BEING.) MORE RECENTLY, SKS FOUNDATION HAS FOCUSED ON YOUTH, PROVIDING FREE TUTORING AND COLLEGE/CAREER COUNSELING AS WELL AS GIVING GRANTS TO SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITIES, AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT YOUTH, BOTH IN THE UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONALLY.
