THE OUTWORDS ARCHIVE CAPTURES, PRESERVES, AND SHARES THE STORIES OF LGBTQ ELDERS, TO BUILD COMMUNITY AND CATALYZE SOCIAL CHANGE. TO DATE, OUTWORDS HAS RECORDED MORE THAN 260 IN-DEPTH INTERVIEWS IN 37 STATES. WE RECORD THE STORIES OF BOTH RECOGNIZED NATIONAL LEADERS AND UNSUNG HEROES. WE DELVE INTO A DEEP VARIETY OF ETHNIC, CULTURAL, ECONOMIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND GEOGRAPHIC COMMUNITIES TO ENSURE A RICH, VARIED, AND INCLUSIVE PORTRAIT OF THE PEOPLE WHO LED THE LGBTQ CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT FROM THE BEGINNING. WE DISTRIBUTE THESE STORIES THROUGH THE BOOK OF PRIDE, PUBLISHED BY HARPER COLLINS IN MAY 2019. OUR COMPLETELY FREE DIGITAL STORYTELLING SITE, THEOUTWORDSARCHIVE.ORG AND THROUGH A WIDE VARIETY OF ONLINE AND IN-PERSON PROGRAMS.
