CREATION, MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF VOLUNTARY NATURAL RESOURCE STEWARDSHIP STRATEGIES, INITIATIVES AND AGREEMENTS; 2. SUPPORT OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH AND DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATIVE, PRACTICAL AND INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO NATURAL RESOURCE CHALLENGES.

Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

WE ACHIEVE THIS MISSION THROUGH TWO MAIN PROGRAMS. THE FIRST IS SHIFT (SHAPING HOW WE INVEST FOR TOMORROW), AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL, HELD EACH AUTUMN IN JACKSON HOLE. THE FESTIVAL EXPLORES ISSUES AT THE INTERSECTION OF CONSERVATION, OUTDOOR RECREATION, AND CULTURAL RELEVANCY. THE SECOND IS THE EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAM TRAINS A CULTURALLY DIVERSE GROUP OF YOUNG OUTDOOR RECREATIONALISTS TO LEAD THE CONSERVATION CONVERSATION.
