WEST VIRGINIA BREAST HEALTH INITIATIVE AIMS TO RAISE AWARENESS AND FUND BREAST CANCER PROGRAMS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON INCREASING BREAST HEALTH EDUCATION, FINANCIALLY ASSISTING BREAST CANCER SCREENINGS, FACILITATING PATIENT NAVIGATION, AND PROVIDING SURVIVOR SERVICES. THROUGH FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ACROSS THE STATE, 100% OF THE PROCEEDS REMAIN IN WEST VIRGINIA TO ASSIST UNINSURED AND UNDER-INSURED WEST VIRGINIANS.

TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, THE ORGANIZATION SHALL PROMOTE, SPONSOR, AND COORDINATE HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION COURSES OF INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAMINERS TO ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY IN THE FIELD OF DISABILITY MEDICINE INCLUDING THE USE OF VARIOUS EDITIONS OF THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION'S GUIDES TO THE EVALUATION OF PERMANENT IMPAIRMENT. IN ADDITION, TO PROMOTE THE CREDENTIALING OF OTHER DISABILITY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS.
