Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

MULTI-DAY SCIENCE RESEARCH TRIPS ABOARD A 160' SAILING VESSEL AND A 40' MOTORIZED RESEARCH VESSEL, AND EXTENDED ONSHORE WATERSHED RESEARCH PROJECTS FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE PUGET SOUND REGION. ALSO PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS TO INTRODUCE THE INQUIRY-BASED MODEL OF SCIENCE EDUCATION.
