THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WAS FOUNDED TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT INGREATER ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VIRGINIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ANDSUPPORT TO THE GENERAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY. ITS MISSION INCLUDES EDUCATION,SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT AND IT ACCOMPLISHES THESE THROUGH ITS PROGRAMS ANDPUBLICATIONS.

MISSION:

THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD POLICY IS TO: A. TO INCREASE AND DIFFUSE KNOWLEDGE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT AGRICULTURE AND FOOD POLICY IN ITS BROADEST SENSE; B. TO EDUCATE INDUSTRY AND THE AGRICULTURE AND FOOD COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO FURTHER THEIR TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING OF POLICY; C. TO SECURE UNITED ACTION AND TO REPRESENT THE AGRICULTURE AND FOOD POLICY COMMUNITY NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY; D. TO DO ALL AND EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO ENHANCE THE GROWTH OF THE AGRICULTURE AND FOOD POLICY RESEARCH AND THE PROSPECTS FOR FUNDING OF SUCH RESEARCH; AND E. TO ENCOURAGE POLICY CHANGES IN GOVERNMENT TO INCREASE THE FUNDING OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD POLICY RESEARCH.

[Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

THE MBL PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESSES TO SHARE THEIR BUSINESS THROUGH NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES AND SO MUCH MORE.
