THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION-HOUSTON IS TO ADVANCE THE ADVERTISING PROFESSION IN THE GREATER HOUSTON AREA BY SUPPORTING INDUSTRY RECRUITMENT AND EDUCATION; BY COMMUNICATING TO THE REGIONAL BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITIES, AS WELL AS TO GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL VALUE OF ADVERTISING; BY FOSTERING IMPROVEMENT OF ITS EFFECTIVENESS; AND BY PROMOTING ETHICAL SELF-REGULATION.THE AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION ("AAF") HEADQUARTERED IN WASHINGTON, D.C., IS THE OLDEST NATIONAL ADVERTISING TRADE ASSOCIATION OF 40,000 ADVERTISING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS IN A NATIONAL NETWORK OF 150+ LOCAL FEDERATIONS IN 15 DISTRICTS ACROSS THE NATION. AAF ACTS AS THE "UNIFYING VOICE FOR ADVERTISING", PROTECTS AND PROMOTES THE WELL-BEING OF ADVERTISING THROUGH A UNIQUE, NATIONALLY COORDINATED GRASSROOTS NETWORK OF ADVERTISERS, BRANDS AND AGENCIES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, MEDIA COMPANIES, LOCAL ADVERTISING FEDERATIONS AND 200 STUDENT CHAPTERS WITH 5,000+ MEMBERS.
