ZILKER BOTANICAL GARDEN CONSERVANCY ('ZBGC') OPERATES GATE ADMISSIONS (INCLUDING A MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM) FOR ZILKER BOTANICAL GARDEN AND SPONSORS PROGRAMMING WHICH INCLUDES SCHOOL VISITS TO THE GARDEN WITH A CURRICULUM AND VOLUNTEERS TO LEAD THE PROGRAM. AS PART OF OPERATIONS AND FUNDRAISING, THE CONSERVANCY OPERATES A SMALL GIFT SHOP ON SITE. ADDITIONALLY THE CONSERVANCY IS RAISING MONEY TO FUND A MASTER PLAN FOR THE GARDEN AND ALSO SUPPORTS SPECIAL PROJECTS TO ENHANCE THE GARDEN. ZBGC COORDINATES WITH CLUBS WHICH MEET AT THE GARDEN THROUGH THE AUSTIN AREA GARDEN COUNCIL. ACTIVITIES WERE ADJUSTED TO COMPLY WITH RELEVANT COVID PROTOCOLS.

TO PRESERVE, PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE DIVERSE ECO-SYSTEM OF TURTLE CREEK AND THE ADJACENT CORRIDOR WHICH INCLUDES TURTLE CREEK PARK, A PUBLIC PARK OWNED BY THE CITY OF DALLAS. THIS 90+ ACRE SECTION OF DALLAS IS A HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT NATURAL

MODIFICATION OF THE WEATHER IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF THE ASSOCIATION'S MEMBERS TO RELIEVE THE HARSH CONDITIONS CAUSED BY DROUGHT IN THIS REGION
