BARE BAIT DANCE OFFERS FRESH, ORIGINAL, PROFESSIONAL DANCE-WORKS IN MONTANA FOR MONTANANS.UNDER THE CONTINUING DIRECTION OF JOY FRENCH, BARE BAIT DANCE AIMS TO:INCREASE THE AVAILABILITY OF CONTEMPORARY DANCE TO BOTH THE MISSOULA COMMUNITY AS WELL AS RURAL MONTANA COMMUNITIES WHICH ARE LARGELY UNDERSERVED IN THE PERFORMING ARTS.BUILD AN ACCESSIBILITY TO DANCE BY PRODUCING CONCERTS THAT SPEAK DIRECTLY TO CONTEMPORARY WESTERN AUDIENCES AND BY FOSTERING MORE POSSIBILITIES FOR DANCE EDUCATION BOTH IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND OUR COMMUNITIES.COLLABORATE DIRECTLY WITH LOCAL ARTISTS (FILMMAKERS, MUSICIANS, VISUAL ARTS, DIRECTORS, AND ACTORS) TO CREATE INTERDISCIPLINARY DANCE PRODUCTIONS.STRENGTHEN THE MONTANAN DANCE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING PAID PERFORMANCE JOBS TO HIGHLY SKILLED PROFESSIONAL DANCERS, NURTURING THEIR CREATIVE WORK AS CHOREOGRAPHERS, AND FACILITATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEM TO EXPAND AS TEACHERS.PRESENT PERFORMERS AND CHOREGRAPHERS FROM AROUND THE REGION AND NATION IN ORDER TO CULTI

ELK RIVER ARTS & LECTURES (ERAL) WAS FOUNDED TO FACILITATE AN ONGOING LECTURE AND READING SERIES IN LIVINGSTON, MONTANA, AND SURROUNDING RURAL COMMUNITIES. WRITERS ARE BROUGHT IN TO READ AND/OR LECTURE FOR THE BENEFIT OF BOTH THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND LOCAL SCHOOLCHILDREN. THERE ARE SEVERAL AUTHOR PROGRAMS EACH YEAR, HELD EITHER IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OR IN A NEARBY CONFERENCE FACILITY. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EVENT IS A WORKSHOP HELD IN AUGUST, WHERE SEVERAL AUTHORS SPEAK AND LEAD WORKSHOPS.

THESE POPULATIONS INCLUDE INDIVIDUALS PURSUING A CAREER IN MUSIC THROUGH EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS, SUPPORTING LOCAL SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAMS WITH GRANTS, AND ASSISTING THE RECOVERY OF WOUNDED SERVICE MEMBERS DURING THEIR RECOVERY.THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN SONGWRITER FESTIVALS PROGRAMS ARE THE PRODUCTION OF SONGWRITER FESTIVALS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE ART OF SONGWRITING, TOURISM IN OUR HOST COMMUNITIES, AND SUPPORT MUSIC EDUCATION IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE SONG WRITING CONTESTS, PUBLIC PERFORMANCES, AND CLASSES FOR ASPIRING SONGWRITERS.
