IN ADDITION, DONATIONS ARE RAISED THROUGH FUNDRAISERS OR INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND AGGREGATED INTO SCHOLARSHIPS. SCHOLARSHIP SPONSORS IDENTIFY A SET OF CRITERIA UPON WHICH THE FUNDS WILL BE AWARDED. APPLICATIONS ARE TAKEN DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. APPLICATIONS ARE SCORED THROUGH A BLIND SCORING METHOD AND RECIPIENTS ARE SLECTED BASED UPON THE HIGHEST SCORE MATCHING THE SPONSOR'S CRITERIA. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED IN MAY.
