THE MODEL PARENT ORGANZATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF MODEL STUDENTS IN THE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN. REALIZING THAT GOOD SCHOOLS PROVIDE WAYS FOR PARENTS TO BECOME INVOLVED IN IMPROVING THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THEIR CHILDREN, MPO STRIVES TO ASSIST THE SCHOOL IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: - PROVIDING A CONDUIT BETWEEN PARENTS AND THE SCHOOL REGARDING SCHOOL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. - ELECTING A PARENT REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE MODEL LABORATORY SCHOOL-BASED DECISION MAKING COUNCIL - ENCOURAGING PARENTAL HELP AND SUPPORT OF SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES - HELPING RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR SCHOOL NEEDS. AS A RESULT OF VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EVENTS IN YEARS PAST, MPO WAS ABLE TO FUND THE PURCHASE OF MANY ITEMS TO FACILITATE STUDENT LEARNING, INCLUDING.
