UWFK ENGAGES IN ADVOCACY WITH OTHER NON-PROFITS TO THAT END. THE COMMUNITY IMPACTS FOCUS AREAS, AROUND WHICH OUR WORK AND FUNDING TO LOCAL NON-PROFITS ARE ORIENTED, ARE 1) ACCESS TO QUALITY, NUTRITIOUS FOOD AND 2) SUPPORT FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT.

WE WORK WITH FAMILIES ON THE CONCEPTS OF BASIC BUDGETING, TRACKING OF WEEKLY SPENDING, PREPARING A FINANCIAL GOAL PLAN, BASIC BANKING INFORMATION, MONEY MANAGEMENT CLASSES AND ASSIGNMENT OF A MONEY COACH, ALONG WITH REFERRALS TO POLK WORKS FOR JOB TRAINING SKILLS. ASSISTANCE IS ALSO PROVIDED WITH TAX PREPARATION.
