NUMEROUS PROJECTS ARE CONSIDERED TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY'S PUBLIC FACILITIES OR SERVICE ORANIZATIONS, SUCH AS THE PLANTATION LIBRARY AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO PLANTATION RESIDENTS BASED ON FINANCIAL NEED AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE ACHIEVED DURING HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE. ALSO, AS HARDSHIP CASES BECOME KNOWN, AND THE POTENTIAL RECIPIENT DEMONSTRATES A WILLINGNESS TO WORK OUT OF THE PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCE, ASSITANCE WILL BE AWARDED. CRITERIA HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR WORTHY PROJECTS AND INDIVIIDUALS BY COMMITTEES, AND AWARDS ARE APPROVED BY OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS OF THE ORGANIZATION.
