THE MISSION OF KEEP PENSACOLA BEAUTIFUL INC IS TO WORK STRATEGICALLY WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO EDUCATE AND ADVOCATE, IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS THAT ADVANCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND BEAUTY OF OUR COMMUNITY, TODAY AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect water resources from indiscriminate waste and ensure that the supply of quality water is adequate to meet the needs of the public, agriculture and industry. Also included are organizations that preserve and manage coastal lands including shorelines, coastal waters and lands extending inland from the shore which affect coastal waters; bays, lakes, rivers, wetlands, estuaries, watersheds and other aquatic habitats.

The goal of this organization is to collect and process paper, aluminum, glass, and other materials that can be recycled and reused.

MISSION:

ISLAMORADA'S CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION EDUCATION (ICARE) IS DEDICATED TO INCORPORATING EFFORTS OF LOCAL BUSINESSS, RESIDENTS AND VISITORS IN RESTORING AND MAINTAINING CORAL REEF COMMUNITIES IN ISLAMORADA, FLORIDA. OUR MISSION IS TO INCREASE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN REEF CONSERVATION THROUGH CITIZEN SCIENCE AND EDUCATION, CORAL TRANSPLANTATION AND CONTINUED MONITORING OF CORALS, REEF FISHES, AND INVERTEBRATES. OUR GOALS FOR THE REEF ARE TO COLLECT DATA ON THE FACTORS IMPACTING CORAL TRANSPLANT SURVIVAL, INCREASE CORAL COVER FROM 3-5% TO 10% OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS, AND HELP RESTORE ECOLOGICAL PROCESSES TO THESE REEF COMMUNITIES, WHILE INCREASING EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE RECREATIONAL DIVING COMMUNITY.

OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT LEE COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION THROUGH PHILANTHROPIC AND VOLUNTARY EFFORTS PROMOTING ONGOING COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND SUPPORT OF THE RECREATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF LAKES PARK AND ITS CONTINUING EVOLUTION, TO INCLUDE A BOTANIC GARDEN AND OTHER ENHANCEMENTS, RESULTING IN AN ATTRACTIVE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY TO ENJOY.

THE PURPOSE OF THE CLUB IS TO STIMULATE THE KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE OF GARDENING AND TO PROMOTE AN INTEREST IN AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN HORTICULTURE, FLORAL DESIGN, CONSERVATION, CIVIC IMPROVEMENT, AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY MEANS OF ADVOCACY AND EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS.

Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.
