BRIGHTER DAYS GRIEF CENTER IS A MINNESOTA NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION SERVING ADULTS, YOUNG ADULTS, TEENAGERS AND CHILDREN WHO ARE GRIEVING THE DEATH OR TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS OF A BELOVED FAMILY MEMBER. ALTHOUGH WE ARE A GRIEF CENTER PROVIDING FREE SERVICES AND RESOURCES, WE ARE SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT AT OUR CORE. WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF PROFESSIONALS AND FAMILIES BOUND TOGETHER BY OUR OWN GRIEF EXPERIENCES.

CRIME VICTIM'S ADVOCATES ARE PROFESSIONALS TRAINED TO SUPPORT VICTIMS OF CRIME AND VIOLENCE. OUR PUBLIC ADVOCACY EFFORTS ENSURE THAT POLICIES, RULES, AND PROCEDURES RESPECT VICTIMS AND THEIR NEED FOR ASSISTANCE, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, AND PRIVACY. CVAC PROVIDES COUNSELING TO VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY, AND GROUP SESSIONS DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE UNDERLYING CAUSES OF TRAUMA AND DEVELOP HEALTHY COPING MECHANISMS.

(THE ORGANIZATION) SEEKS TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND COMPASSIONATE ENVIRONMENT TO PROMOTE HOPE AND HEALING AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT BY LIFTING, EMPOWERING, ADVOCATING, AND FIGHTING FOR SURVIVORS AND THEIR ALLIES AND, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. ADDITIONALLY, THROUGH EDUCATION, OUTREACH, AND COLLABORATION THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO SHIFT THE CULTURE THAT PERPETUATES VIOLENCE.
