NITTANY VALLEY FIRE COMPANY, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE LIFE, PROPERTY AND ENVIRONMENT FROM THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF FIRE, MEDICAL EMERGENCIES AND EXPOSURE TO DANGEROUS CONDITIONS OF THE CITIZENS OF PORTER TOWNSHIP AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS.

The goal of this organization are the volunteer and other organizations that provide emergency rescue operations and/or lifesaving activities for people who are stranded, lost, accident victims, or exposed to other life-threatening dangers. Included may be organizations that participate in air rescue, mountain rescue, sea rescue, ski rescue, traffic accident rescue and urban search and rescue operations.
