SOSA - SAFE FROM ONLINE SEX ABUSE IS A NONPROFIT COMMITTED TO RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT AND COMBATING THE PERVASIVENESS OF ONLINE CHILD SEX ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION. THIS INCLUDES PARTICIPATING IN CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION INITIATIVES, CHILD ABUSE TASK FORCES SUPPORTING SURVIVORS, AND CREATING ONLINE SAFETY RESOURCES FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES.

OUR MISSION IS TO CONTINUE TO GROW WHAT BEGAN 15 YEARS AGO BY MOBILIZING CHURCHES TO COLLABORATE WITH ONE ANOTHER AND OTHER SECTORS (NON-PROFITS, GOVERNMENT, EDUCATORS, BUSINESS) TO HELP ALL LEVELS OF GREATER ATLANTA (CITIES, COMMUNITIES AND FAMILIES) FLOURISH, IN AN EFFORT TO ENSURE THAT THE REGION'S NEXT GENERATION IS REACHING THEIR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL. UNITE IS A NETWORK CURRENTLY COMPRISED OF 8 REGIONS AND APPROXIMATELY 75 CHURCHES AROUND METRO ATLANTA. OUR GOAL IS TO REACH INTO 50 REGIONS - UNITING AND MOBILIZING 1000+ CHURCHES AROUND METRO ATLANTA.

KCAVP PROVIDES INFORMATION, SUPPORT, REFERRALS, ADVOCACY AND OTHER SERVICES TO LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND HATE CRIMES, FOCUSING THOSE SERVICES WITHIN MISSOURI AND KANSAS. KCAVP ALSO EDUCATES THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE THROUGH TRAINING AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS.

SINCE OUR FOUNDING IN 2006, GASP HAS ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF CHILD SAFETY AND DEVELOPED HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE ADULTS AND CHILDREN, SPEAK UP FOR OUR CHILDREN, EDUCATE THEM, EMPOWER THEM AND GIVE THEM TOOLS TO PROTECT AGAINST DANGEROUS SITUATIONS, SEXUAL OFFENSES, ABUSE AND ABDUCTION OF CHILDREN. GASP CONTINUES TO EVOLVE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY BY PARTICIPATING IN CHILD SAFETY EVENTS AND SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS. WE OFTEN FIND THAT THERE IS A LACK OF AWARENESS OF THESE ISSUES, EVEN AS THESE INCIDENTS CONTINUE TO BE A PART OF EVERYDAY NEWS. THERE IS EVEN LESS AWARENESS OF THE ALARMING RATES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN THE STATE OF OHIO, WHICH HAS RANKED AS HIGH AS FIFTH IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE MOST INSTANCES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING. EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, FOR EVERY ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION, OR INSTANCE OF ABUSE, EXPLOITATION OR BULLYING IN THE NEWS, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO GET AWAY WITH THEIR OFFENSES.
