A TOTAL OF 280 NIGHTS WERE OFFERED TO THE LBTO PARTNERS AND SCIENCE STAFF IN 2021 FOR SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATIONS, WHILE 34 WERE DEVOTED TO ENGINEERING WORK AND COMMISSIONING OF NEW INSTRUMENTATION. THE WEATHER WAS CLOSE TO THE AVERAGE OF THE PAST 11 YEARS, WITH 37% OF THE SCIENCE TIME LOST TO POOR WEATHER. A TOTAL OF 54 SCIENTIFIC PAPERS BASED ON LBT DATA WERE PUBLISHED IN 2021 IN REFEREED JOURNALS, USING OBSERVATIONS TAKEN BETWEEN 2008 FOR THE OLDEST DATA SET AND 2021 FOR THE MOST RECENT.
