PURPOSE: The title of this grant is "Auditory Processing in Children Recovering from a Concussion: Biological Insights". The proposed research aims to characterize auditory processing in a diverse group of children diagnosed with a concussion and to accurately map stepwise improvement in auditory processing skills as children recover from their concussion.

PURPOSE: The title of this grant is "Effect of Helmet Use on Injury Risk and Head Impact Rates in Girls' Lacrosse". The proposed research aims to evaluate differences in concussion and musculoskeletal injuries between helmeted Florida high school girls' lacrosse teams to non-helmeted Virginia high school girls' lacrosse teams.

PURPOSE: The title of this grant is "Advancing Catastrophic Sport Injury Research Through Detailed Investigations and Record Abstraction: National Center for Catastrophic Sport Injury Research (NCCSIR)". The proposed research aims to extend surveillance, recruitment, interviewing and record acquisitions; developing and implementing methodologies for abstracting information from ME/Coroner, medical/imaging records for catastrophic sport injuries and illnesses.
