NATIVE HAWAIIAN BASED EARLY EDUCATION CENTERS - KEIKI STEPS: A FREE PARENT PARTICIPATION PRESCHOOL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES QUALITY EARLY LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. KEIKI STEPS SERVED A TOTAL OF 258 KEIKI AND 299 FAMILIES IN 2021.
KULIA & KA LAMA EDUCATION ACADEMY: GROWING TEACHERS FROM THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING LEADERSHIP, EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TO BECOME TEACHERS IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITY. THERE WERE 380 PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROGRAM DURING 2021.
PARENTS AS TEACHERS: SUPPORTING PARENTS AS TEACHERS BY PROVIDING HOME VISITS TO PARENTS ON THE WAIANAE COAST AND MOLOKAI TO HELP THEM GAIN VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EARLY CHILDHOOD AND BRAIN DEVELOPMENT, AND INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF UNDERSTANDING THEIR CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT. PARENTS AND TEACHERS SERVED 181 PARENTS AND 151 CHILDREN IN THE PROGRAM DURING 2021.
