MISSION: AMERICAN FRIENDS OF PARENTS CIRCLE - FAMILIES FORM SHARES THE HUMAN SIDE OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT WITH THE AMERICAN PUBLIC IN ORDER TO FOSTER A PEACE AND RECONCILIATION PROCESS. THE PARENTS CIRCLE FAMILIES FORUM IS A JOINT ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN ORGANIZATION MADE UP OF MORE THAN 600 BREEAVED FAMILIES. THEIR COMMON BOND IS TAHT THEY HAVE LOST A CLOSE FAMILY MEMER TO THE CONFLICT. BUT INSTEAD OF CHOOSING REVENGE, THEY HAVE CHOSEN A PATH OF RECONCILIATION. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: THE YOUNG AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE (YAP) PROGRAM IS AN INITIATIVE TO TRAIN AND EDUCATE 25 BEREAVED ISRAELIS AND PALESTINIANS AGES 18-27 TO BECOME THE NEXT GENERATION OF PEACE LEADERS. THE PARENTS CIRCLE HAS BEEN OPERATING ITS FLAGSHIP PARALLEL NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE (PNE) PROGRAM FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS. IN THAT TIME, 40 COHORTS HAVE PARTICIPATED, IMPACTING NEARLY 1,200 ISRAELI AND PALESTINIAN PARTICIPANTS. THE WOMEN'S GROUP WAS BORN OUT OF THE NEED TO EXPRESS THE VOICE OF THE WOMEN IN OUR ORGANIZATION. ITS AIM IS TO EQUIP WOMEN FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE CONFLICT TO ACQUIRE AN AUTHORITATIVE VOICE AND A EAL SAY IN ANY FUTURE RECONCILIATION PROCESS.
