ORGANIZATION-THE HILL & DALE FAMILY LEARNING CENTER (ORGANIZATION), A NONPROFIT CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, PROVIDES CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE FOR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO SIX YEARS OLD. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING PROGRAMS TO MEET THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS AND FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS AN ANNUAL TUITION REDUCTION PROGRAM.DUE TO COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES, THE ORGANIZATION WAS UNABLE TO OPERATE AT CAPACITY ENROLLMENT NUMBERS UNTIL THE VERY END FISCAL YEAR. ENROLLMENT AVERAGED 93% OF CAPACITY BEFORE GETTING TO 100% CAPACITY BY MAY 2022. DUE TO A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN EXPENSES RELATED TO COVID-19 MEASURES AND STAFF RETENTION, OVERALL REVENUE CAME IN AT 51% BELOW TARGET.THE PRINCIPAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING THE 2022 FISCAL YEAR WERE THE ORGANIZATION'S ABILITY TO SAFELY OPERATE DURING A PANDEMIC, RETAIN A MAJORITY IF ITS STAFF AND BUILD UP ENROLLMENT NUMBERS WHILE OPERATING UNDER CONTINUED COVID-19 GUIDELINES. MAJOR FUNDRAISING EVENTS, LIKE THE ANNUAL GALA, RETURNED DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR FURTHER UNIFYING THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDING A SENSE OF NORMALITY.
