COMBINED WITH DEVELOPING STRONG CHARACTER VALUES IN THE YOUTH WE SERVE, BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF OCEANSIDE (BGCO) HAS IMPLEMENTED AN ORGANIZATION-WIDE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, RESEARCH, ENGINEERING, ARTS AND MATH (STREAM) PROGRAM, WHICH IS INCORPORATED IN ALL ACTIVITIES PROVIDED. STREAM IS DESIGNED TO DEVELOP A GREATER INTEREST AND APPRECIATION FOR THE WORLD OF STREAM AND ITS RELATION TO REAL WORLD APPLICATIONS AND PREPARE OUR YOUTH FOR 21ST CENTURY CAREERS.
A UNIQUE PROGRAM WE OFFER IS OUR REAL OPTIONS FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES (ROADS). ROADS WAS DEVELOPED AS A PROGRAM TO FILL A PRESSING NEED FOR MEANINGFUL DAYTIME ENRICHMENT SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS IN NORTH COUNTY. THIS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, COMMUNITY-BASED DAY PROGRAM FOCUSES ON SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES THAT LEAD TO INCREASED INDEPENDENCE FOR OUR MEMBERS.
BGCO PROVIDES MEALS AND SNACKS FOR ITS MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY. THE MEAL PROGRAM PROVIDES CULINARY ARTS SKILLS, ETIQUETTE AND MEAL PLANNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS.
