PUBLIC PROGRAMS: THE MUSEUM OFFERS PUBLIC ACCESS TO EXHIBITIONS ON FIVE FLOORS, A 3-D GIANT SCREEN THEATER, AND EDUCATION CLASSROOMS. INFORMAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS INCLUDE EXHIBITONS THAT PRESERVE AND DISPLAY NATURAL OBJECTS DOCUMENTING THE GEOLOGICAL HISTORY AND BIODIVERSITY OF THE REGION, EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, LECTURES, AND EXPEDITIONS IN THE FIELD OF NATURAL SCIENCES.
SCIENCE: THE MUSEUMS BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH CENTER OF THE CALIFORNIANS (BRCC) SERVES AS THE LEADER FOR THE PRESERVATION AND INTERPRETATION OF SCIENTIFIC SPECIMANS THAT DOCUMENT THE BIODIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND BAJA CALIFORNIA. THE EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF THE BRCC SUPPORT THE MUSEUM SCIENTISTS RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS.
