THE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION RECEIVES GIFTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND TRANSFERS THEM TO THE UNIVERSITY FOR DISTRIBUTION TO STUDENTS. THE UNIVERSITY AND NOT THE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SELECTS THE RECIPIENTS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO RECEIVES RESTRICTED CONTRIBUTIONS EARMARKED FOR SPECIFIC COLLEGES AND DEPARTMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY. IN KEEPING WITH THE WISHES OF THE DONORS, THE FOUNDATION PASSES THESE FUNDS TO THE RECIPIENT DEPARTMENTS AS UNIVERSITY SUPPORT.
