CONFIDENT IN GOD'S HOPEFUL FUTURE AND GRATEFUL FOR THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.)'S EVER-WIDENING WELCOME, THE COVENANT NETWORK OF PRESBYTERIANS SEEKS AN EQUITY STILL NOT FULLY REALIZED FOR LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE IN CHURCH AND SOCIETY, CALLING THE CHURCH TO BEAR A UNIFIED WITNESS TO GENEROUS HOSPITALITY AND FAITHFUL JUSTICE.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR NEARLY 400 MEMBER CONGREGATIONS, THE COVENANT NETWORK OF PRESBYTERIANS EMERGED FROM THE PANDEMIC WITH RENEWED FOCUS ON ENGAGING, EQUIPPING AND EDUCATING THE CONGREGATIONS AND COUNCILS OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (U.S.A.) FOR THE FULL INCLUSION AND AFFIRMATION OF LGBTQIA+ PERSONS. WE SPONSORED A HYBRID IN-PERSON/ONLINE COVENANT CONVERSATION WITH MORE THAN 85 PARTICIPANTS, DEVELOPED VIDEO RESOURCES USED IN HUNDREDS OF CONGREGATIONS, AND BEGAN WORK ON NEW VIDEO AND PRINT RESOURCES TO BENEFIT CANDIDATES AND CHURCHES IN THE CALL PROCESS. WE SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED OUR ENGAGEMENT WITH THE PRESBYTERIAN MISSION AGENCY AND TOOK STEPS TO SECURE THE ORGANIZATION'S LONG-TERM FINANCIAL FUTURE AND INCREASE THE DIVERSITY OF OUR BOARD.
