THE OBC CHARITABLE INSTITUTE SHARES AND SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF THE OREGON BUSINESS COUNCIL: TO CONTRIBUTE TO OREGON'S QUALITY OF LIFE AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY. THE OBC CHARITABLE INSTITUTE RECEIVES GRANTS FROM BUSINESS AND PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS AND FROM INDIVIDUAL DONORS TO CONDUCT PUBLIC POLICY PROJECTS FOCUSED ON SUCH ISSUES AS REDESIGNING PUBLIC K-12 AND HIGHER EDUCATION, IMPROVING HEALTH AND HEALTH CARE, UPGRADING TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE, SUPPORTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, REFORMING THE STATE FISCAL SYSTEM, AND REDUCING POVERTY.
