EACH YEAR, DENVER SALSA BACHATA CONGRESS HOSTS A WORLD-RENOWNED, FOUR-DAY CULTURAL FESTIVAL FEATURING OVER 200 DANCE WORKSHOPS, INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS, DANCE PERFORMANCES, AND LIVE LATINX AND AFRO CARIBBEAN MUSIC IN AURORA, COLORADO. DSBC CREATES EQUITABLE SPACES THAT EMBRACE ALL PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT ORIENTATIONS AND DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS TO ENGAGE IN ACCESSIBLE AND EDUCATIONAL LATINX AND AFRO CARIBBEAN CULTURE THROUGH THE ARTS. DSBC PREDOMINANTLY SERVES THE CITIES OF AURORA AND DENVER, INCLUDING THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES OF ADAMS, ARAPAHOE, DENVER, DOUGLAS AND JEFFERSON. ATTENDEES, PERFORMERS AND ARTISTS INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, A BROAD POPULATION OF THE AFRICAN, LATINX AND ASIANS DISPORA OF ALL AGES AND INCOME LEVELS. THROUGH DANCE PERFORMANCES, OUTREACH ACTIVITIES, AND SOCIAL MEDIA CONNECTIONS, DSBC WAS ABLE TO COLLECTIVELY HOST APPROXIMATELY 1,920 PEOPLE AT THE DSBC EVENT IN 2022. CURRENTLY, DSBC HAS APPROXIMATELY 5,200 FOLLOWERS ON FACEBOOK, 3,000 FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM, 200 SUBSCRIBERS ON YOU TUBE, AND AN AVERAGE OF 1,750 WEBSITE VISITS EACH MONTH.
