SHOOTING TOURNAMENTS - 3 MAJOR TOURNAMENTS. (1) 6 DAYS 1191 ENTRIES FOR 12 EVENTS. (2) 2 DAYS 168 ENTRIES FOR 6 EVENTS. (3) 5 DAYS 1214 ENTRIES 12 EVENTS. PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE ORGANIZED SHOOTING EVENTS TO IMPROVE MARKSMANSHIP, SAFE FIREARM HANDLING, AND TO PROMOTE SPORTSMANSHIP. DINNER, AND MISS AND OUT FUN SHOOTS PROVIDED FOR 1 MAJOR TOURNAMENTS TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPANTS TO INTERACT AND EXCHANGE KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNIQUES.
LODGE BUILDING & RV SPACES - LODGE BUILDING USED DURING TOURNAMENTS AND SAFETY MEETINGS. EACH TOURNAMENT HOSTS DINNERS FOR SHOOTERS AND GUESTS. LOCAL ARCHERY CLUB USES LODGE 4 TO 5 NIGHTS PER WEEK FOR 4 MONTHS. FREE USE OF THE BUILDING IS ALLOWED FOR OTHER CHARITIES. RV SPACES ARE RENTED TO TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS. PROVIDES AMENITIES NEEDED TO SPONSOR SHOOTING TOURNAMENTS AND MEET ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS.
SHOOTING RANGE OPERATIONS - OPEN 210 DAYS A YEAR FOR 7-8 HOURS A DAY. SHOOTING IS DONE BY MEMBERS. THE CLUB THROWS TRAP JACKPOT, ANNIE OAKLEY, FUN SHOOTS AND CORPORATE SHOOTS. THE UTAH DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, FISH & GAME, UINTA COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPT, VERNAL POLICE, AND NAPLES POLICE DEPTS USE THE CLUB FOR HUNTERS EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT TRAINING. RANGE PROVIDES OPPOTUNITIES TO IMPROVE MARKSMANSHIP AND SAFE HANDLING OF FIREARMS. IMPROVES KNOWLEDGE AND SPORTSMANSHIP THROUGH SOCIAL INTERACTION.
