THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF THE WEBER/MORGAN CHILDREN'S JUSTICE CENTER IS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO CREATE A CHILD-FRIENDLY, COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT TO REDUCE VICTIM TRAUMA DURING CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS.

DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 THE WEBER/MORGAN CJC PROVIDED SERVICES FOR A TOTAL OF 2,967 PEOPLE, OF WHICH 940 WERE PRIMARY VICTIMS OF ABUSE OR ANOTHER TYPE OF CRIME FOR WHICH AN INVESTIGATION WAS CONDUCTED. AS PART OF THOSE DIRECT SERVICES, 770 INTERVIEWS WERE CONDUCTED AND 112 MEDICAL EXAMS WERE PERFORMED. THERE WERE 698 CASES STAFFED BY THE MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM WITH 128 CASES GOING FOR CRIMINAL / JUVENILE PROSECUTION. IN ADDITION TO THE DIRECT CLIENT SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CJC, THE FRIENDS OF THE WEBER-MORGAN CHILDREN'S JUSTICE CENTER PROVIDED TRAINING FOR MEMBERS OF THE MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM BY PAYING FOR AND/OR FACILITATING CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE AT THE UTAH CHILDREN'S JUSTICE CENTER SYMPOSIUM, THE DALLAS CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN CONFERENCE, FORENSIC INTERVIEW TRAINING AND OTHER APPROPRIATE CHILD ABUSE CONFERENCES OR TRAINING PROGRAMS.
