FELV VACCINATIONS FOR ALL SHELTER FELINES WHO HAVE TESTED FELV NEGATIVE. WE HAVE VACCINATED OVER 80% OF THE SHELTER AND CONTINUE TO VACCINATE ALL NEW INTAKES.
IN 2021 WITH THE HELP OF OUR STAFF VET WE REMOVED ALL OF THE FIV+ (FELINE IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS) FROM THEIR OWN SEPARTE WARD TO RELOCATE INTO OUR GENERAL POPULATION WARD. WE WANTED TO HEP REDUCE THE STIGMA OF ADOPTING FIV+ KITTIES. WE BELIEVE WITH THE PROPER MEDICAL ATTENTION AND ENVIRONMENT FIV+ KITTIES CAN LIVE JUST AS LONG AND HEALTHY LIVES AS NON-POSITIVE FELINES.
PARTNERSHIP- WE HAVE SIGNED AN MOQ WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE FOR INTERNSHIPS AND OFF SITE VET SERVICES.
