THE SHARING SMILES NOTES AND CONCERTS PROGRAM WERE ESTABLISHED IN MARCH 2020 AS A RESPONSE TO THE PANDEMIC TO REDUCE SOCIAL ISOLATION AND LONELINESS. HUNDREDS OF PAIRS OF OLDER ADULTS AND YOUTH ARE ENGAGING IN ON-GOING COMMUNICATION AND CONNECTIONS THROUGH EMAIL AND MAIL. YOUTH ORCHESTRAS REGULARLY PERFORM LIVE-STREAMED CONCERTS FOR OLDER ADULTS IN THEIR INDEPENDENT HOMES AS WELL AS LIVING COMMUNITIES, ENHANCING THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF SENIORS.
EMPOWERING THE AGES COLLABORATED WITH HADASSAH TO BEGIN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CURRICULUM FOR GRANDPARENTS TO IMPROVE THEIR RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR GRANDCHILDREN.
