TO PROVIDE SAFE HOUSING IN A CARING, SUPERVISED AND HOME-LIKE ENVIRONMENT FOR UNACCOMPANIED HOMELESS YOUTH TRANSITIONING OUT OF FOSTER CARE. TO PROVIDE SAFETY AND STABILITY FOR THE GROWING NUMBER OF YOUTH ENCOUNTERING HOMELESSNESS IN FREDERICK COUNTY MD.

GETTING AHEAD PROGRAM: STEADFAST WAS A MEMBER OF A COALITION OF SMALL LOCAL NON-PROFITS THAT RECEIVED A GRANT TO IMPLEMENT AND DELIVER THIS 8-WEEK GROUP WORKSHOP. THE GRANT FUNDING AND ASSOCIATED MANAGEMENT OF THE PROGRAM WAS DONE BY THE MARY SETON FOUNDATION AND IS THEREFORE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS FILING. HOWEVER, STEADFAST LED THE DELIVERY OF THE PROGRAM TO OUR TARGET CLIENTS. THE GETTING AHEAD PROGRAM GUIDES PARTICIPANTS THROUGH THE PROCESS OF ASSESSING THEIR RESOURCES AND TEACHES THEM HOW TO BUILD AND UTILIZE SAID RESOURCES IN ORDER TO MOVE TOWARD SELF-SUFFICIENCY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. SECURE FACILITY THAT WILL PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND RELATED SERVICES FOR UNACCOMPANIED HOMELESS YOUTH. THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10132 HANSONVILLE RD IN FREDERICK MD INCLUDES A HOUSE, A STORAGE AREA, AND LIMITED GROUNDS. STEADFAST TOOK OCCUPANCY ON 9/1/2020 AND CONTINUED WITH REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE AND FURNISHINGS THROUGHOUT 2021. THE FACILITY WILL BE USED AS THE ORGANIZATIONS BUSINESS OFFICES, PROVIDE A CLOTHING CLOSET FOR BOTH WOMEN AND MEN (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY), HOST EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND RESOURCES, AND ULTIMATELY BECOME A TRANSITIONAL HOUSING RESIDENCE FOR YOUNG MEN (ANTICIPATED BY SUMMER OF 2022).
