TO GUARANTEE THE FUTURE OF EXCEPTIONAL HEALTH CARE IN LARAMIE BY ACQUIRING AND MANAGING ASSETS IN SUPPORT OF IVINSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.

Part 3 - Line 4a
TO PROVIDE PROGRAM SUPPORT AND SUPPLIES TO VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS IN THE IVINSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. THESE DEPARTMENTAL REQUESTS ARE ABOVE AND BEYOND THE FUNDING PROVIDED BY THE HOSPITAL. THE FUNDING COMMITTEE REVIEWS FUNDING REQUESTS ANNUALLY AND PROVIDES SUPPORT AS FUNDS ALLOW.
THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES PROGRAM SUPPORT THROUGH SUPPORTING TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF HOSPITAL STAFF FROM VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS. THROUGH A SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS ACQUISITION OF EQUIPMENT THAT UPGRADES THE ABILITY OF DEPARTMENTS TO PROVIDE MEDICAL SUPPORT TO PATIENTS. ABOUT EVERY 8 YEARS THE FOUNDATION PURCHASES A LINEAR ACCELERATORS FOR THE MEREDITH AND JEANIE RAY CANCER CENTER, THREE SUCH LINACS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED. THE FOUNDATION FUNDED THE RENOVATION OF INFUSION ROOMS IN THE CANCER CENTERS INCLUDING CHAIRS THAT PROVIDE HEAT, VIBRATION, AND OTHER COMFORTS TO PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY INFUSIONS. IT SUPPORTED THE ACQUISITION OF NEW MORE COMFORTABLE FURNITURE IN FOR FAMILY MEMBERS WAITING FOR CANCER CENTER PATIENTS. THE FOUNDATION IS SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT OF A RESPITE ROOM FOR FAMILY MEMBERS OF NEAR-DEATH OR OTHERWISE CRITICAL PATIENTS. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED ACQUISITION OF A 3-D MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT. THE FOUNDATION THROUGH THE WOMEN OF COURAGE PROVIDES FUNDING FOR BREAST EXAMINATION OF UNINSURED PATIENTS IN THE COMMUNITY NEEDING SUCH SUPPORT. WOMEN OF COURAGE ALSO SUPPORTS EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SUPPORT TO HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES WHOSE FAMILIES WERE IN NEED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED HIGH QUALITY VIDEO BOARDS FOR IN ENTRY AND WAITING AREAS OF THE HOSPITAL.
